Decided to take a day trip to Starvin Marvins (formerly Sunset Strip) to catch the Michigan vs Michigan State game.
Okay this review is going to seem odd, but bare with me.
I first introduced myself to the bouncer at the door. As a former bouncer, I made it my business to know the personalities of the dancers. That way I could steer the customers to what they were looking for which usually resulted in a tip for me. This bouncers name was Kip and he was really cool. He called over some of the girls and told them to treat me right. Since there was no cover, that resulted in a $10 tip from me, remember I just met the guy and he was hooking me up.
Immediately, two dancers, Coco and Brown Sugar began "the dance." The dance is when a dancer attempts to see if you're tipping or watching. Due to the ordinance, I was shocked at the mileage I received in the booth before I even received a dance.
Coco
Coco has the trifecta. She has a great rack, an ass you can balance a drink on and a pretty face. More importantly, she has a great attitude for the business she is in. She is definitely worth the price of admission. Even though there were only a few customers, she worked the stage and the floor and looked to make each guy feel special. Coco is your prototypical dancer. She's 5'7" with measurements of 38-29-45.
Brown Sugar
See above. Plus she is enthusiastic and willing to work. I spoke to Teddy, a guy who monopolized most of her time. He said, "Brown Sugar is my favorite dancer because she is here to make money and I'm here to spend money. There's no bullshit. I like that." As she puts it, "I'm bout it." And she is.
It was about this time that Kip came in with chips and pizza. He bought a pie over to my table. I felt really important. More importantly, the dancers thought I was important. Again, thanks Kip. There was a cute little waitress there named Erica. One of the customers named Jermaine said, "It's a shame when you want to spend more time with the waitress than you do with some of these lazy ass dancers."
There were quite a few dancers there just sitting around not really interacting with the patrons. Every once in a while they'd ask for someone to buy them a drink with no response. I decided not to go into detail with my displeasure with Discody and Exotic. I'll just give them this advice, engage the customers. Make them feel special. Provide eye contact. I think during the four hours I was there, they had one dance between them.
At this point Coco and Brown Sugar bought me a shot to thank me for the dances. So to thank them we went to the VIP. If we were to talk mileage, I received a round trip from both. Thanks girls.
Nyla
There was one more dancer there that stood out. Although I didn't get a dance from her (she seemed to be in high demand) I did witness some decent mileage on the floor before she disappeared to the VIP. She seemed cool, but really didn't have time for me.
Over all I had a good time considering that there weren't that many dancers or customers. On a one to ten scale, I give the club a 7 but the above mentioned dancers 9s. If you find yourself at Starvin Marvin Sunset, look for Coco, Brown Sugar or Nyla.
