I think that our club should host/sponsor our own pole competition. It will help to garner recognition and respect and it will showcase the talent of all the strippers in this area. I think it will be a win/win situation.

Sure, why not rip off Deja Vu/Little Darlings some more. You get status from stealing other people's ideas right? Forget that they've been doing it for years, put a new spin on it and call it your own!

What's wrong with more than one club doing a pole competition? I think it's a great idea. These clubs DO have a lot of talent and I think it's a good way to recognize it. I don't think they are trying to say that this is an original idea, or trying to "steal" any other club's thunder, they just want to have a fun competition. More power to them.

I've been in Angels, Little Darlings, and Deja Vu in Kalamazoo, and I was absolutely impressed with the pole work in all three clubs. They are all awesome and I think a contest is a perfect idea, in any of the three clubs. But with one possible restriction: if a pole dancer competes in the competition in one of these clubs and places, they should not be allowed to compete in the other competitions. Then the girls that place from each club can compete against each other in a "pole dancing superbowl" or something and then they can claim the title of Best Pole Dancer in Kalamazoo.

Do you really think that this is an original idea What club hasn't done a pole comp yet? Maybe try coming up with something better to get some people to visit the club.

What happened to the days when clubs didn't have to come up with "events" to draw in a crowd? Aren't private dances with incredibly gorgeous ladies enough?

To each their own, but I don't care for "features" with touring strippers with huge plastic boobs and aging porn stars. Give me the house dancers anytime. And I really don't care for this new trend of linking Ultimate Fighting with strip clubs. All these events do is draw in crowds that don't know how to act responsibly in a strip club.

A pole competition might be OK, but while I can appreciate a talented pole dancer, that's not why I go to clubs, and it really isn't very entertaining for me.
